Realisation from Germany: A visit to Bavaria - a bright house opening onto a terrace

Realised by DAKO | Striking arrangements with white PVC joinery and panoramic sliding systems

The owners of this house, located near Nuremberg, realised their project in a consistent manner, emphasising the body of the building with details that add lightness. Here, the sand-coloured natural stone terrace clearly stands out from the minimalist facade, and the subtle woodwork perfectly complements the overall composition.

The focal point of the house is the spacious living room overlooking the terrace, where space has been designed for large glazings. The combination of the space open to the garden with the subdued glamour style in the interiors gives the project a touch of finesse and originality

  • A strong contrast to the façade is provided by the dark, minimalist aluminium overlay door (model SABANA). The silvery vertical handle elegantly blends in with the frame surrounding the milky glass and the railings around the house.
  • All window joinery elements were made in a neutral white colour. The builder's choice was the warm PVC window series, DPQ-82.
  • Functional tilt and turn windows were installed in the bathroom, kitchen and bedrooms. Some of these were supplemented with frame mosquito nets.
  • Thanks to HST lift-and-slide doors on the terrace, our client was able to achieve a fully glazed, movable wall, letting in a wide range of natural light.
  • The investor also opted for a comfortable barrier-free passage on the first floor ¬- another sliding door connected the bright lounge with the cosy balcony.
  • At the HST terrace door, a sliding mosquito net was decided upon, which opens practically in line. This gives the occupants the opportunity to ventilate the rooms undisturbed at any time of the year.
