The testing was carried out in Great Britain at the test laboratory of BSI. The successful testing demonstrated the enhanced security of specific joinery models and is often specified in the UK market and part of guidance for windows and doorsets to comply with Building Regulations in new dwellings.
DAKO’s window joinery with a positive result of PAS 24 tests
Testing carried out by BSI confirmed DAKO’s aluminium joinery from the DA 77 series met the requirements of PAS 24 for enhanced security. Among the tested models were our DA 77 tilt and turn window, DA 77 fixed window and DA 77C outwards opening window, as well as our HST Lift-slide Patio. Furthermore, the institution tested DAKO’s aluminium panel door DA 77 and aluminium batch door DA 77.
PAS 24 provides test methods for testing and assessing doorsets and windows intended to resist the levels and methods of attack experienced in the UK and normally associated with the casual or opportunist criminal.
We are proud that our windows and doors made from this modern material meet the PAS 24 enhanced security standard, which was performed by an experienced test laboratory.
